Gun Grabber Bio: Barbara Boxer

It’s important to understand the irrational Leftist Gun Grabbers this series helps to do that.

Barbara Boxer:

No one has ever accused Barbara Boxer of having grace.  In fact she is one of the most aggressive and outspoken, forceful, gun control advocates on the planet. The Democratic Senator from CA, Barbara Boxer has not only influenced horribly focused gun regulation in her home state, but pushed for it in any form in the House of Representatives and the Senate also. Barbara Boxer hit her stride in 2001 when the Democrats grabbed the majority in the Senate, as she pushed for widespread bans and changes to the existing law language rendering many laws irrelevant, and many others in control of citizen’s right.

In 1996 she championed the American Standards Act which was in place to remove cheaper handguns.

She was the introducing senator for the Firearms Rights, Responsibilities and Remedies Act, which promoted lawsuits for ancillary effects of gun violence.  The bill sought to allow cities and entities to sue the private gun manufacturers for civil damages caused by gun violence, something they had no control over, obviously. How ridiculous is that?  To allow a company to be sued for damages, when their product can be used in a way they did not intend it to be used: by criminals.  There is no precedent anywhere in commerce law to back this one up.

The child safety Lock Act was on the Barbara Boxer agenda for most of 1997 to 1999.  She argued that gun manufacturers were actively engaging and advertising to attract children as young as 4 years old to use guns. The Youth Access to firearms Act was another such brainchild of Barbara Boxer; seeking to regulate heavily the transfer or sale of firearms to those under 18 years of age.

Barbara Boxer is easily one of the most liberal senators still in Washington. She has been instrumental in helping the Brady Bill and the Assault Weapons ban pass, and has no signs of relinquishing her strangle hold on gun politics in the State of California.  Her public website is conspicuously absent of any mention of guns, I have searched through it looking for some mention of her oppressive and underhanded tactics, but find very little.  She wants people who don’t know, to continue not to know what her record is. Ignorance is bliss in Barbara Boxer land.  If she thought that the gun vote needed to be put out there she would obviously point it out on her site, but Barbara Boxer knows, her constituency will follow her and her incredibly leftist policies wherever she goes. Those that already support her, while they may be affected by leftist gun policy don’t care enough to get involved and Barbara Boxer likes it that way.  Keep acting like you don’t hate guns, but tout your vote for the allowance of highly trained pilots carrying guns on planes in the cockpit, so people think you are protecting them, while you conspire to remove more of their constitutional rights.

Good job Barbara Boxer, you have managed to become successful by oppressing law abiding citizens.
